Hinkel Equipment Rental Associates was founded in 1953 by Walter and Gloria Hinkel. Their goal being the formation of a company developed on the foundation of a shared cooperative vision and resolute desire to adhere to a few core principals. From their initial beginnings and the renting of their first fleet of cranes, loaders, and construction, Hinkel Equipment Rental has always placed an emphasis on putting safety, reliability, quality, and customer support at the forefront of their business. 

As the company has grown and flourished so too has its dedication to additional ideals including being at the forefront of technology within its industry. In 1993, current President W. Mark Hinkel brought transmission maintenance work methods into the future with the addition of Bronto Skylift truck-mounted aerial platform lifts to the fleet. This investment cemented Hinkel Equipment Rentals as an established provider of the highest-quality rentals, and a source of expertise for the support and use of Bronto Skylift equipment.

In the ensuing years the reach of Hinkel Equipment Rentals has gone further, incorporating rental access to tracked carriers (Prinoth Troopers) for rough terrain transport, providing equipment for the film and entertainment industry, as well as overseeing operation of aerial platforms for historic architectural appraisals and restorations and much more.
